The Adani Group on Tuesday said it has accepted the resignation of Mr Ravi Sharma as the CEO, Adani Power Ltd (APL).
In a statement here, an Adani Group spokesman said Mr Sharma will cease to be the CEO of APL with effect from June 30. Mr Vineet Jain has been appointed as CEO with effect from May 14.
He had implemented 4,620 MW of thermal power plant at Mundra, 40 MW solar power plant at Bita, and the HVDC transmission line from Gujarat to Haryana. He is responsible for operations and maintenance (O&M) of all APL plants, the statement said.
Mr Sharma, who had joined APL in June 2010, was said to have been the brain behind the high-profile exercise of Adani Group for an image makeover, including adoption of a new logo in February.
Despite efforts, Business Line could not contact him for comments, reasons for quitting, if any, and his future plans.
