Adani Power Ltd, on Friday, announced a quarterly net profit of Rs.102 crore in the third quarter of 2015-16, ended December 31, 2015, compared to a net loss of Rs 369 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
The company’s consolidated total income in the period increased by 12 per cent to Rs. 6,211 crore (Rs.5,538 crore) mainly due to additional sales from its Udupi plant, according to an Adani Power statement here.
The company had sold 16.61 billion units during the period compared with 14.73 billion units in Q3FY15, registering a growth of 13 per cent.
Depreciation charge during Q3FY16 was Rs 607 crore, not comparable with Q3FY15, as the company had given the impact of Schedule-II of the Companies Act, 2013, said Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Power.
“With the announcement of revised tariff policy, Adani Power feels encouraged to consider further growth opportunities to fulfill its commitment to partner with government in its vision to achieve 24 X 7 “Power for All” by 2019”, he added.
