Agro Tech Foods Ltd (ATFL) has reported a 16 per cent rise in December quarter profits over the corresponding period last year on higher sales.
The company reported a net profit of Rs 13.06 crore on income of Rs 220.46 crore for the quarter-ended December 2012 as against a net of Rs 11.23 crore on an income of Rs 181.58 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Shares of ATFL, an affiliate of the ConAgra Foods Inc, were up 1 per cent at Rs 513.30 in intra-day trade on the BSE in a weak market.
For the nine months ended December 2012, ATFL reported a net profit of Rs 27.76 crore on income of Rs 583.77 crore against a net of Rs 23.92 crore on earnings of Rs 529.3 crore.
