State carrier Air India (AI) has entered into a code-share agreement with Hong Kong Airlines (HKA).
As part of the arrangement, HKA will place its code on AI’s direct flights between Hong Kong and three cities including New Delhi, Osaka (Japan) and Seoul (South Korea) respectively.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner would be operated under the code-share system with HKA, the statement said.
The code share will take effect on June 10 for flights booked on the Hong Kong-Delhi leg and on July 4 for flights booked on the Hong Kong-Osaka and Hong Kong-Seoul routes.
Going forward, the two airlines may expand the partnership to cover the transfer of AI passengers on HKA’s network, the statement said.
