Textiles firm Alok Industries’ net profit rose 24.2 per cent to Rs 57.77 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011, over the same period previous fiscal.
The company had registered a net profit of Rs 46.51 crore in the corresponding period previous financial year, Alok Industries said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
During the quarter under review, the net sales rose to Rs 1,644.89 crore from Rs 1.098.97 crore in the year-ago period.
Shares of Alok Industries closed at Rs 25.10 on the BSE on Friday, up 1.21 per cent from its previous close.
