Alstom on Thursday said it has bagged €100 million contract from GVK Power and Infrastructure Ltd to equip the 850 MW Ratle hydropower plant, which will be commissioned in 2017.
The contract includes the supply of four Francis turbines of 205 MW each, and one Francis turbine of 30 MW. This contract is booked in the second quarter of the current fiscal year, Alstom said in a statement.
All equipment will be manufactured at Alstom’s Vadodara facility in Gujarat.
The hydro power project is located on the Chenab river, Ratle in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
