Alstom T&D India today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 200 crore from Bajaj Infrastructure Development Company for supply of equipment to its 1,980 MW power plant in Uttar Pradesh.
The contract is for supply of electrical balance of plant package for Bajaj Infrastructure’s upcoming 3x660 MW thermal power project in Lalitpur.
It is worth around (Rs 200 crore), Alstom T&D said in a statement.
Alstom T&D will be responsible for design, engineering, supply and installation of the equipment. The Lalitpur plant is expected to be commissioned in 2015.
“As of now, around 9,000 MW of projects are under execution by Alstom T&D, which highlights our expertise and leadership within the e-BoP (Electrical Balance of Plant) segment,” Rathin Basu, Managing Director, Alstom T&D India said.
The company is a leading player in the domestic power transmission segment.
