Alstom T&D, the transmission and distribution arm of French firm Alstom, today reported a 17 jump in net profit at Rs 53.08 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013.
Alstom T&D had posted a net profit of Rs 45.42 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges.
The company’s total income during the January-March 2013 quarter rose to Rs 1,096 crore from Rs 1,019 crore in the year-ago period.
Alstom T&D develops, constructs, markets and provides systems, components and customer support to infrastructure markets in the field of power generation.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 165.85, up 3.49 per cent on the BSE in the late afternoon trade.
