Alstom T&D India, the subsidiary of France-based Alstom Group, reported a net profit of almost double in the third quarter of 2013-14 against the same period previous year.
The manufacturer of power transmission and distribution equipment on Friday reported a 92.37 per cent increase in its third quarter at Rs 18.93 crore against Rs 9.84 crore in the same quarter last year.
The total income during the said period increased by 18.98 per cent to Rs 848.32 crore against 712.94 crore in the same months last year, Alstom said in a statement to BSE.
Alstom stock closed at Rs 184.95, up 1.15 per cent, on the BSE on Friday.
Meanwhile, the company said that it has entered into an ‘agreement of sale’ with an Indian business house for selling Rs 120 crore worth of property in Bangaluru. The eventual sale is subject to mutual agreements.
