Amara Raja Batteries has reported a 6.67 per cent dip in net profit at Rs 127.22 crore for the September quarter of the current fiscal.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 136.32 crore during July-September period a year ago, the company said in a BSE filing today.
Total income of the company was down 5.27 per cent at Rs 1,439.73 crore during the quarter under review against Rs 1,519.94 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.
Total expenses during the second quarter of the current fiscal were down 5.76 per cent at Rs 1,249.01 crore against Rs 1,325.43 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Shares of Amara Raja Batteries were trading 6.61 per cent higher at Rs 727.60 apiece on the BSE.
