Ambuja Cements on Monday reported 2.4 per cent dip in April sales at 18.64 lakh tonnes (LT) as compared to the same month last year.
The company had recorded 19.10 LT sales in April 2010, a company release said. Ambuja cements’ production also declined during the month at 18.13 LT as against 19.07 LT in April last year.
Cumulative sales of the company during the January-April period, however, were up to 75.50 LT as against 72.82 LT during the corresponding period a year ago. Production increased to 74.03 LT, compared to 72.44 LT in January-April period of last year, it said.
