Anand Mahindra, the tech savvy Chairman of Mahindra group, has got a doubt that equally bothers media houses and journalists - what is the principal source of news for people.
He immediately put this question on his Twitter account, calling his followers to respond. And the winner in the survey is Internet. About 48 per cent of the respondents said Internet was their primary source.
A few days ago he posted the query, asking his followers to help him out in understanding the source of news.
This was followed by television (17%). About 16% of the respondents said they depended only on one newspaper to keep an eye on the world, while 11% said they followed more than one paper.
Twitter itself accounted for 7% and one per cent depend on radio. The size of the sample is not known.
