Andhra Bank on Saturday set up a live, interactive television facility for its customers, probably the first of its kind, here.
“We will be expanding this facility to other branches as well in due course,’’ its Chairman and Managing Director C.V.R. Rajendran told newspersons here after inaugurating the new premises of a corporate finance branch at Somajiguda.
The interactive TV/video conference facility was set up in the e-Lounge attached to the branch and would help customers directly talk to bank staff on any issue related to bank transactions. This is connected to a central studio manned by the staff round the clock.
On the performance of the bank, Rajendran said there was some stress but things would be turned around in the next six months.
Andhra Bank board will be meeting on February 7 to approve the third quarter numbers.
