K. Vijayanand, Managing Director, APGENCO has been chosen as the winner of “Award for Best Performing Bureaucrats Affecting Sector Transformation-STATE” category at the “9th ENERTIA Awards 2015-India & South Asia's Awards for Sustainable Energy & Power.”
This was for his leadership role in achieving high plant load factor of 80.71 per cent amongst State Utilities for Thermal Coal based power plants during 2014-2015. He will receive the award on November 5 in New Delhi.
In the same awards event, while APGENCO has been adjudicated Winner of “Award for Best Performing Utilities–Power Generation,” Andhra Pradesh State has been adjudicated Winner of “Top Investment & Infra Excellent State in Energy & Power,” according to a statement.
