Healthcare major Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd today reported a 4.81 per cent increase in its standalone net profit to Rs 82.74 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2014.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 78.94 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Apollo Hospitals said in a filing to the BSE.
Total income during the April-June quarter also increased 17.72 per cent to Rs 1,053.72 crore from Rs 895.04 crore in the same period, a year ago.
Revenues from healthcare services stood at Rs 667.59 and pharmacy Rs 386.22 during the quarter under review. It was at Rs 663.40 crore and Rs 364.85 crore, respectively, during the same period, a year ago.
Shares of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise were trading at Rs 1,038.40 per share during the afternoon trade on the BSE, up 0.1 from their previous close.
