Varian Medical Systems has signed an educational partnership with Apollo Hospitals Group to train radiation technologists.
The collaboration was signed by Prabakar, CEO, Apollo Knowledge, and Ashok Kakkar, MD, Varian Medical Systems India, here on Friday.
As per the partnership, Varian will deploy its Access to Care programme by leveraging the existing Apollo knowledge network that comprises several educational entities in the healthcare space in India.
“It is important that the healthcare industry stakeholders join hands to ensure that we have the required number of skilled clinicians,’’ Prabakar said in a release.
Ashok Kakkar, Managing Director, Varian Medical Systems, said: “This programme will not only enhance the skills and competencies of the students but contribute towards addressing the lack of skilled radiotherapy professionals in India.’’
