Apollo Pharmacy, an arm of the Apollo Hospitals group, has said that it is verifying all necessary certifications of Ranbaxy drugs and that it has not suspended the sale of its drugs.

“We are in talks with them for the last one week. Meanwhile, we have issued a cautionary advisory (to the pharmacies) based on concerns raised by the medical oversight committee,” a spokesperson of the company said here on Friday evening.

Reports suggested that the company had stopped selling Ranbaxy drugs temporarily. But the company said that it has not suspended the sale of Ranbaxy drugs.

The company, however, refused to speak on the content of the advisory issued to its 1,400 pharmacies across the country. Asked whether the outlets have stopped selling Ranbaxy drugs, the executive replied in the negative.

“The matter is in the process of being resolved as Ranbaxy continues to provide the necessary paperwork. We strive to work with all healthcare players in our mission to cure people,’’ the statement said.
