Apollo Tyres’ President and Chief Financial Officer Sunam Sarkar has been redesignated as President and Chief Business Officer, the company said in a statement on Wednesday. He will, however, continue as the CFO until a replacement is announced.

Sarkar has been relocated to Singapore in his new role and will oversee corporate strategy, integrated supply chain including raw material sourcing, production planning and logistics operations, information technology, Greater China operations, corporate social responsibility and corporate communications, the statement added.

Sarkar, who joined Apollo in 1999 to head the marketing function, joined the Board of Directors in 2004.
