Arasu Cable TV Corporation Ltd of the Tamil Nadu Government proposes to launch its services in the Chennai metropolitan area too. The company, which launched its services across the State in September, did not enter the Chennai market as it is one of the CAS (conditional access system) regions.
According to a press release from Arasu Cable, the company now seeks to enter this market too and has sought expression of interest from MSOs (multi system operators and LCOs (local cable operators) along with details including the number of connections and those with set-top boxes and set-top box inventory with operators, as these details are required for a feasibility study. It has hence requested operators to furnish these details online before December 23.
The release further added that the enrolment fee details will be announced once the corporation decides to launch operations in the city.
