Gift and greeting cards major Archies Ltd today said it has inked an agreement with US-based CowParade Global to bring the latter’s merchandise to India.
As a part of an exclusive tie-up, Archies will introduce 53 CowParade hand made figurines in select Archies and Hallmark stores in India, it said in a filing to the BSE.
CowParade is a public art event that has been staged in over 75 cities worldwide starting with Chicago in 1999.
Based in Connecticut, USA CowParade Global Ltd is the worldwide holder of the CowParade property.
More than 5,000 cow sculptures made of fiberglass and steel have been painted and transformed by artists from around the globe.
As per information available on the official Web site of CowParade, the highest selling cow was Wage Moo from CowParade Dublin 2003 and was sold for $146,000.
CowParade has raised over $30 million for worldwide charitable organisations.
The company also makes figurines which are bought around the world as collectibles. There are over 500 figurines in the CowParade collection.
