Areva T&D India Ltd on Monday said its transmission business, now a part of Alstom Grid, has bagged a Rs 400-crore contract from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd to design and build a 765-kV turnkey substation at Anta near Kota.
The scope of this contract also includes a long-term maintenance contract for the substation. This substation “would improve power transfer capacity and reliability of the electrical network through power transmission from several generation plants located in the state,” a company statement said.
The products for this substation would be delivered from Areva T&D India's factories located at Vadodara, Padappai, Pallavaram, Hosur and Noida, it said.
