Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland today reported a 28 per cent increase in total sales at 12,533 units in October 2016.
The company had sold 9,803 units in the corresponding month last year.
Sales of heavy and medium commercial vehicles rose by 33 per cent to 9,574 units last month as against 7,176 units in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement.
Light commercial vehicle sales grew by 13 per cent to 2,959 units as compared to 2,627 units in October last year, it added.
