Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland today reported a 6 per cent decline in total sales at 10,897 units in August 2016.
The company had sold 11,544 units in August last year.
Sales of heavy and medium commercial vehicles declined by 8 per cent to 8,201 units last month against 8,903 units in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement.
Light commercial vehicle sales grew 2 per cent to 2,696 units compared with 2,641 units in August last year, it added.
