Hinduja Group flagship firm Ashok Leyland today reported a 31.4 per cent increase in total sales at 12,209 units in December 2015.
The company had sold 9,290 units in the same month last year.
Sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles jumped 35.33 per cent to 9,758 units in December against 7,210 in the same month a year ago, the company said in a statement.
Light commercial vehicles sales grew 17.83 per cent to 2,451 units from 2,080 in December 2014.
