Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland today reported a 38.53 per cent increase in total sales at 11,544 units in August as against 8,333 units in the same month last year.
Sales of heavy and medium commercial vehicles jumped 52.65 per cent to 8,903 units in August as against 5,832 units in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement.
Light commercial vehicles sales rose 5.6 per cent to 2,641 units compared with 2,501 units in August 2014.
