Hospital chain Aster DM Healthcare has entered into an agreement with Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST), a Bengaluru-based educational institution, to launch ‘Aster RV Super-speciality Hospital’.

This 200-bed multi-speciality hospital, constructed by RSST, is expected to be commissioned within the next 12 months, company executives said.

Srinath Reddy, Group CFO, Aster DM Healthcare, said: “We have believed in providing advanced medical care of the good quality at affordable cost and this agreement reiterates that belief and commitment.”

Nitish Shetty, CEO of Aster CMI, said: “With Aster CMI Hospital we bring global best practices to India and once Aster RV is operational we will be further strengthening our presence in Bengaluru.”

In August last year, Aster DM Healthcare had launched a 509-bed quaternary care multi-speciality hospital with dedicated centres in cardiac sciences, neurosciences, medical gastroenterology, surgery and allied specialties, integrated liver care, organ transplant, urology and nephrology, orthopedics, women, and child and adolescent health.

Aster CMI operates two clinics in Bengaluru, and has plans to come up with another one this year, according to company executives. Further, Aster CMI recently signed a seven-year agreement with the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) as their healthcare partners and is now managing the around 10,000 sq ft medical services facility at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru.
