Atul Auto Ltd on Wednesday reported an increase of 17 per cent in profit after tax and sales revenue growth of 19 per cent in the third quarter of 2013-14, ended December 31, 2013, as compared to the corresponding period last fiscal.
The Rajkot-based three-wheeler maker sold 10,764 vehicles (9,173 vehicles in Q3FY13) and reported a turnover of Rs 122.89 crore (Rs 103.31 crore) in the quarter under review. Its net profit stood at Rs 9.66 crore (Rs 8.28 crore), according to a company statement here.
Niraj J. Chandra, Executive Director, said the company launched various variants to its vehicle line, thus increasing its domestic market share from 2 per cent in FY09 to 7 per cent now. The company’s production capacity is 48,000 units annually.
