Rajkot-based Atul Auto Ltd on Saturday said its sales increased by 54 per cent and net profit by 73 per cent in the second quarter of 2011-12, compared to the corresponding period in the last fiscal.
Growth in the local auto industry over the past several quarters has lifted the company's profits, said Mr Vijay Kedia, Director.
While sales were Rs 82.65 crore (Rs 53.71 crore), net profit was Rs 5.06 crore (Rs 2.92 crore), the company said in a statement here.
On Friday, the company's share on the Bombay Stock Exchange closed 0.38 per cent down at Rs 118.25.
