Gujarat-based Atul Auto Ltd (AAL), which manufactures three-wheeled commercial vehicles, has reported a near 24 per cent jump in sales in December 2013 compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.
Sales in the first nine months of the current fiscal also had shown a near 19 per cent increase compared to the first nine months of the previous fiscal.
In a filing with the stock exchanges, the company said it sold 3,510 vehicles in December 2013 compared with 2,844 units in the corresponding month of the previous year, a 23.42 per cent increase.
Total sales in April-December 2013-14 fiscal was 27,908 units compared with 23,592 vehicles in the first nine moths of 2012-13, an 18.29 per cent jump.
Shares of AAL were trading at Rs 297, an increase of Rs 5.65, on the BSE in the morning trade.
