Atul Auto Ltd, leading three-wheeler manufacturer based in Rajkot, has seen its sales in the first two quarters of 2012-13 go up by 16 per cent compared with the corresponding period last fiscal. In the last six months, the company recorded sales of 14,419 units against 12,377 units in the April-September 2011 period, Vijay Kedia, Director, said in a statement here on Thursday.Although the last two quarters were down for the commercial vehicles sector as a whole, Atul Auto managed the growth.
“We are expecting a similar growth in the coming quarters.” The company had allotted 36,57,200 equity shares of Rs 10 each fully paid as bonus shares in July 2012 in the ratio of one share for every two shares held. The company had also distributed dividend of 50 per cent (Rs 5 a share) for the year 2011-12.
