German luxury car maker Audi today reported 33.33 per cent growth in its sales in India during February at 600 units.
The company said it had sold 450 units in the corresponding month last year, Audi India said in a statement.
“We are delighted with our outstanding sales performance in India in February 2012. We attribute this growth to the strong brand equity we have in the Indian market,” Audi India Head Mr Michael Perschke said.
The company is now gearing up to launch the Audi TT later this month, he added.
“We also plan to expand our national footprint by covering markets like Nagpur, Coimbatore, Lucknow and Bhopal this year while further consolidating our presence in Mumbai and Delhi,” Mr Perschke said.
The luxury carmaker had ended 2011 with a record sale of 5,511 units, a jump of 84 per cent over 2010.
