Luxury car manufacturer Audi India on Thursday launched new sports car, RS6 Avant, priced at ₹1.35 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi and Mumbai).
This is the first Avant body style sports car to be launched in India, the company said.
The new vehicle has Bi-Turbo V8 engine (3,993 cc) that produces 560hp and can go 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 305 km/h.
“With its low, flowing roofline, the Audi RS6 Avant is a sure head turner. We are confident that the elegant dynamics of the car will appeal to the auto enthusiasts seeking style, speed and luxury,” Joe King, Head, Audi India, said here at the launch. The RS 6 Avant is the fourth sports car to be launched in India by the German carmaker this year after the Audi R8 LMX, the new Audi TT Coupe and the new Audi RS 7 Sportback.
“All these sports cars have received a phenomenal response in the market…the Audi RS 6 Avant will not only help us consolidate our leadership position in the performance car segment, but will also inspire us to continue with our commitment to bring in the right product offering for our Indian customers,” he added.
