The luxury car manufacturer Audi India opened its 30th showroom in India and second in Karnataka in Mangalore on Friday.
Niraj Srivastava, Head (Sales), Audi India, said on the occasion that the company plans to expand its network to 34 dealerships by the end of the calendar year 2013 from the existing 30 centres.
The company will open showrooms in Visakhapatnam and Noida by the end of 2013. The Chief Executive Officer of Audi Mangalore and Audi Bengaluru, K. Subramanian, said the company sold around 130 cars in Mangalore and surrounding areas last year.
The company wants to sell another 130 cars next year, he said. Ravindra Pai, General Manager (Operations) of Audi Mangalore, said the Mangalore showroom would serve the requirements of the districts such as Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Belgaum, Dharwad, Hassan, Chikmagalur and Kodagu.
