Bajaj Auto’s volumes have seen a decline of 9 per cent during October, with sales for the Pune-based company in the month standing at 3.53 lakh units versus 3.86 lakh units in October 14.
Motorcycle sales at 3.09 lakh units were down 8 per cent in comparison to those in the same period of last year (3.37 lakh untis), while commercial vehicle sales too dipped 10 per cent to stand at 44089 units.
The biggest hit for the company however comes on the overseas front with exports down 19 per cent to stand at 1.28 lakh units versus 1.59 lakh units last year, a filing to the BSE indicated.
Bajaj Auto shares were trading down 2.50 per cent or Rs 63.65 at Rs 2,485.95 in early trade on the BSE.
