Two-wheeler major Bajaj Auto reported a 10 per cent fall in sales to 3.01 lakh units in March against 3.35 lakh units in March 12.
In the month under review, sales of motorcycles dropped 11 per cent to 2.67 lakh units against 3.01 lakh units in March 12.
With a one per cent fall in sales, commercial vehicles fared better.
Total exports stood at 1.01 lakh units, a drop of 6 per cent.
During FY13 as a whole, Bajaj Auto sold 4.28 million units against 4.35 million units in FY12, translating into 3 per cent drop in sales year-on-year. Motorcycle sales dipped by 2 per cent to 3.75 million units, while total exports (two and three wheelers) were down by 2 per cent.
The Bajaj Auto stock was trading down 1.35 per cent at R 1,759.80 in early trade on Tuesday.
