Bajaj Auto sold 3.05 lakh units during June 2014 against 2.96 lakh units in June 2013, representing a rise 3 per cent rise year-on-year.
The company’s motorcycle sales stood at 2.62 lakh units against 2.54 lakh units, a gain of 3 per cent. Commercial vehicle sales rose 5 per cent to 43,263 units.
The major gain was on the export front with total overseas sales at 1.35 lakh units against 1.2 lakh units, a growth of 12 per cent.
During the quarter, Bajaj Auto notched total sales of 9.88 lakh units against 9.79 lakh units, up by 1 per cent. Of these, exports grew by 22 per cent to 4.42 lakh units.
