Bajaj Auto has reported that it sold a total of 295749 vehicles during June 2013, translating into a 14% drop in sales in comparison to June 2012.
The Pune-based Company that is facing a workers’ strike at its Chakan plant has said that motorcycle June sales at 254544 units are down 20% year on year. In a filing to the BSE, it said that strike has caused a loss of 20,000 motorcycles.
At 41205 units sold, commercial vehicle sales rose by 54%, while total exports were 4% higher at 120399 units.
