Bajaj Electricals eyes 25% growth

Bajaj Electricals Lighting Division is aiming for a business of Rs 520 crore in the current year with a growth of 25 per cent, C.G.S. Mani, executive president and head of lighting, said.

The company’s lighting division in the South is growing at 55 per cent, he told reporters here.

Mani, who was here in connection with the launch of new range of premium lighting solutions – Bajaj iLED – said that “with the line-up of new products, we are confident of having a great 2013.”

Kerala is the first market in the country to launch the complete range of iLED lighting products and the range comprises of panel lights, down lighters and tube lights, which help save cost of the consumer by consuming less energy, he said.

The company is working closely with several State governments to ensure that these products are accessible to the customer by reducing duties and taxes, he added.

Apart from holding a sizeable market share in Kerala, Bajaj Electricals is the pioneering partner in Kerala State Electricity Board’s energy efficiency mission by supplying one million CFL lamps in the State, he added.
