Bajaj Electricals Ltd expects to continue a higher growth in its engineering and projects business.
According to Shekhar Bajaj, Chairman and Managing Director, Bajaj Electricals, a substantial portion of the growth is expected to be contributed by rural electrification projects.
“We will continue with a higher growth of engineering and projects business. As on December 1, 2013, we had an order book of Rs 2,100 crore for this segment. Of the total, orders worth nearly Rs 1,000 crore are from various rural electrification projects,” he told reporters on the sidelines of a press conference.
The company expects to clock Rs 5,000 crore revenue by the end of 2014-2015. Its revenues are expected to stand at Rs 4,200 crore this fiscal.
By FY15, revenue from the engineering and projects business should touch Rs 1,500 crore (Rs 1,200 crore this fiscal) of the projected Rs 5,000 crore total turnover, Bajaj added.
