Motorcycles major Bajaj Auto sold 3 lakh motorcycles during April 2013, translating into a drop of 12 per cent in comparison to sales in April 2012.
The company’s exports have also taken a hit in the month under review, and with 1.3 lakh units exported versus 1.69 lakh units, stood lower by 23 per cent.
Commercial vehicle sales were 10 per cent higher at 43,000 units.
The company’s combined sales were 3.44 lakh units against 3.81 lakh units, which translates into a drop of 10 per cent year-on-year.
