Singapore-based luxury hotel chain Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts on Thursday said it will launch its first property in Alappuzha district of Kerala in the first quarter of 2013.
Banyan Tree Kerala will be an all-pool villa retreat with 59 villas. As of now the group runs 30 resorts and hotels, over 60 spas and 80 retail galleries, as well as two golf courses.
Known for its spas, the Kerala resort will feature its first dedicated Ayurvedic Centre which will offer a variety of wellness therapies and spas. Each of the resort’s villas will feature a private pool and expansive view of the surrounding waterways and canals, the company said in a statement.
