Berger Paints posted a 21.74 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 49.27 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
The Kolkata-based company posted a net profit of Rs 40.47 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal, Berger Paints said in a filing to the BSE.
During the quarter under review, the firm registered consolidated net sales of Rs 719.87 crore, a 22.03 per cent increase from Rs 589.91 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
On a standalone basis, the firm posted a 17.06 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 43.01 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011, as against Rs 36.74 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
During the quarter under review, the company’s net sales stood at Rs 631.99 crore, a 22.19 per cent increase from Rs 517.19 crore in the year-ago period.
Scrips of Berger Paints were trading at Rs 105.00 per share on the BSE, down 1.59 per cent from their previous close.
