Telecom tower infrastructure provider Bharti Infratel on Friday reported consolidated net profit of Rs 579 crore for the quarter ended September 30, up 25 per cent as compared with Rs 465 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Revenues of the company also rose 4 per cent during the quarter to Rs 3,038 crore as against Rs 2,930 crore in the July-September 2014, the company said in a statement.
"Mobile Data is going to be the key pillar of growth for the Indian telecom industry. We are already witnessing clear signs of accelerated 3G & 4G rollouts by the operators with multi fold increase in such installations as compared to last year. In addition, the sector is also seeing increased focus on quality of service and a possible utilisation of unused spectrum. These trends are positive for tower companies," Akhil Gupta, Chairman, Bharti Infratel Limited, said.
