The Bangalore-based division of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has posted Rs 1,028-crore profit before tax (PBT) during 2011-12, the company said today.
The electronics division, ceramic business unit (CBU) and industrial system group — the three divisions coming under Bangalore BHEL — have recorded a turnover of Rs 3,737 crore, up 21 per cent.
“It has an outstanding order book of Rs 7,815 crore at the end of this financial year, which could sustain the company for the next two years. The order book is comfortable,” BHEL Electric Division Executive Director, Mr G. Ganapathiraman, said.
The electronics division clocked a turnover of Rs 2,301 crore and a PBT of Rs 827 crore, industrial systems group posted a turnover of Rs 1,002 crore and a PBT of Rs 140 crore, and the ceramic business unit (CBU) witnessed a turnover of Rs 434 crore and a PBT of Rs 61 crore.
He said that the company has filed four patents and 19 copyrights in the areas of control equipment and solar photovoltaics.
