The Bhopal unit of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) achieved production worth Rs 4,202 crore and a profit-before-tax of Rs 648 crore during the last financial year.
The Executive Director of BHEL Bhopal, Mr M.K. Dubey, told reporters here today that the turnover in 2010-11 was 13 per cent more than in 2009-10.
The Executive Director said a target of Rs 5,010 crore had been set for 2011-12 and indicated this was set keeping in view the competition in the present economic scenario.
He said BHEL Bhopal was continuously making strides and expressed confidence that it would do better in future.
