BHEL’s Industrial Systems Group (ISG), Bangalore, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity has provided vending carts to the economically poor and wheelchairs to physically challenged persons.
At a function organised jointly by BHEL and the programme implementing NGO, Dr B. R. Ambedkar Kreeda Club, Nagavara, Bangalore, Atul Sobti, ED ISG presented vending carts and wheelchairs to the beneficiaries.
Also, BHEL has contributed Rs 2 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help victims in the flood-ravaged areas of Uttarakhand. BHEL employees have also contributed over Rs 6.50 crore.
