Quick commerce platform Blinkit’s services continued to face disruptions in parts of Delhi-NCR due to a strike by delivery executives in protest against the new payout structure. On Sunday, organisations such as Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation, All India Central Council of Trade Unions and App Karamchari Ekta Union tweeted in support of delivery executives using the hashtag #StandwithBlinkitWorkers.

“Stand with @letsblinkit workers! Blinkit pays just ₹15 per delivery for BlinkIt riders! And doesn’t provide any social security! App based delivery companies are openly exploiting workers & the govt @LabourMinistry remains a mute spectator (sic),” CPIML Liberation tweeted.

Delivery executives of Blinkit in the Delhi-NCR region have been protesting against the new payout structure since Wednesday claiming that it will reduce their earnings. Sources said services of the quick delivery platform remain majorly affected in Gurgaon and Noida but operations are gradually resuming in Delhi.

On Saturday, in response to businessline’s emailed queries, a Blinkit spokesperson had said, “60 per cent of our entire fleet has already switched to the new payout structure. As of now, 70 per cent of our stores are operational and we expect more partners to login every day as we continue to actively engage with the remaining partners.” The platform operates over 400 dark stores in the country and has a large presence in the Delhi-NCR region.

Delivery executives have been claiming that their fees have been slashed from ₹25 per order to about ₹15 per order.
