SAIL's Bokaro Steel Plant has reported a “significant improvement” in production and robust techno-economic indices in April, the company said in a release; adding that the plant is “now well on course towards achieving the annual production plan targets” for FY-16.
On a year-on-year basis (between April 2015 and the corresponding period last year), Bokaro Steel Plant, reported a growth of 14.3 per cent in Oven Pushing; 1.9 per cent growth in Ingot Steel; 2.8 per cent growth in Ingot Rolling and 11.4 per cent growth in CR Saleable, the release stated.
The steel plant also set a new daily production record of 14,317 tonne of hot metal from four furnace operations during the month.
Bokaro Steel, the release stated, has achieved 100 per cent fulfilment in both crude steel and saleable production and 105 per cent fulfilment in HR Plate/Sheet production for April, in line with the annual production plan set during FY-16.
