Auto parts maker Bosch is closely monitoring the diesel car ban issue, but it has so far not impacted its overall business in the country.
Steffen Berns, MD of Bosch Ltd and President of the Bosch Group in India, told newspersons here that diesel engines are in fact clean and this has to be communicated effectively to the opinion makers in the country.
He also announced the company’s plans to invest ₹770 crore this year at its plants in Bidadi and Nashik for common rail pumps and injectors, and an R&D centre in Bengaluru.
Quarterly results Bosch posted a 30.8 per cent increase in net profit to ₹376.04 crore while total income grew 13.6 per cent to ₹2,714.53 crore during the March quarter.
