It was status quo at Bosch Ltd as the workers' strike entered the fifth day on Monday.
“The relay hunger strike continues with five employees on a fast today,” Mr Raghavendra, executive committee member of the MICO Employees' Association (MEA), told Business Line .
“We have taken up the issue of the illegal shutdown with the State Law Minister and the Labour Minister. Also, a conciliation meeting between the MEA, the Labour Commissioner of Karnataka and the Bosch management is scheduled for tomorrow, and we will continue the strike till then,” he said.
The employees, since Wednesday last week, are fighting the company's decision to outsource manufacturing of certain products made at the Adugodi facility.
“We have been supported by several people and two ex-mayors of Bangalore city, two Councillors and the Jayanagar MLA, Mr B.N. Vijaykumar, came to the facility today to extend their support,” Mr Raghavendra said.
